1. Project Manager: Socio- Economic Development

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma or NQF 7 Level qualifications in development relevant fields i.e. social studies, business management, community development, development studies, environmental studies or equivalent.
  • A post-graduate qualification and project management experience would be an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences in the implementation of socio-economic, community development, development planning, and waste related projects
  • Experience in working with government, international donor agencies and funders, national institutions, development agencies, NGO’s and other relevant stakeholders in complex environments
  • Drivers license and own vehicle

Key Performance Areas:

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership to the Investment Promotion and Tourism Development division and the Agency and ensuring focus on strategic imperatives.
  • Formulating creative solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of services.
  • Overseeing and managing consultants and contractors implementing work on behalf of the Agency
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of processes, procedures and norms and standards.
  • Overseeing and ensuring that accurate and cost-effective expenditure of project funding
  • Developing and monitoring the implementation of planning policies, procedures and guidelines for all Agency projects
  • Oversee the development of norms and standards for the planning and implementation of Agency socio-economic, tourism and waste projects
  • Oversee feasibility studies and ensure proper conceptualization, preparation and approval of business plans for all Agency projects
  • Overseeing and ensuring the provision of legally compliant implementation service for all Agency projects.
  • Ensure provision of a proper quality assurance exercise for all Agency projects both prior to and during the actual implementation.
  • Ensure proper engagement of all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing and monitoring the implementation of relevant implementation policies and guidelines for all Agency projects
  • Ensure the oversight and maintenance of a proper project management system for the Agency.
  • Ensure a proper monitoring exercise for all Agency projects.
  • Oversee a process of conducting both internal and external evaluation process for Agency projects.
  • Oversee proper management of all project information and records
  • Identifying socio-economic opportunities and engaging with the relevant stakeholders to exploit such potential
  • Engaging with the relevant local, provincial and national departments and organization to pursue this mandate.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement and social facilitation for BCMDA projects

2. Administrative Assistants: Integrated Waste Management, Greening, and Beautification Programme X3 (6 Months Contract)

Salary: R6 240.00 Per Month (Total Cost to Company)

Requirements:

  • A Senior National Certificate
  • One year post matric certificate in computer or administration studies or any related qualifcation
  • Experience in Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Microsoft Projects
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English / Xhosa / Afrikaans
  • 1 year experience in office administration

Key Performance Areas:

  • Keeping records of all the components of the programme through a proper and safe filing system
  • Having records of work done on sites and file them
  • Receiving all correspondence from stakeholders, community and participants and registering them in the registration book to ensure tracking of information
  • Writing letters, memos and reports dealing with staff and financial matters as instructed by the Project Coordinator
  • Assisting in the recruitment and registration of programme participants
  • Consolidation of onsite reports and facilitating payment of monthly wages for programme participants.
  • Assisting in the development of work schedules and reporting thereon.
  • Assisting with stakeholder engagements throughout the programme life cycle and writing of minutes.
  • Receive leave forms and submit to the Programme Co Ordinator for approval
  • Filing of leave forms and timesheets.
  • Assisting the Programme Coordinator to ensure oversight by providing monthly performance reports and any other information on onsite activities.
  • Assist with regular assessment of programme’s tools and equipment and other critical resources.
  • Assist in the procurement of programme resources by preparing memos and other relevant documents.

3. Site Supervisor: Integrated Waste Management, Greening, and Beautification Programme X10 (6 Months Contract)

Salary: R7 488.00 Per Month (Total Cost to Company)

  • Senior National Certificate / Grade 12 /  Matric
  • One year post matric certificate in Human Resources or any related qualifcation
  • Experience in Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Microsoft Projects
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English / Xhosa / Afrikaans
  • Drivers license

Key Performance Areas:

  • Supervising the staff of street cleaning, refuse removal, greening by continuous visits to check on the work done and ensure effectiveness.
  • Controlling the issuing of refuse bags by issuing a certain number of bags to each participant and monitor the usage thereof
  • Maintaining and controlling the programmes’ equipment through regular checking of its condition and reporting defects to the Programme Coordinator
  • Controlling the placement of bulk containers and refuse bins by identifying site to ensure appropriate use thereof.
  • Controlling stock by performing regular stock taking to ensure better management thereof.
  • Ensuring that street cleaning services are carried out properly by regular inspections to all collection areas.
  • Compiling timesheets and leave records by filling of forms to be processed by the Administrative Assistant
  • Conduct induction for new participants
  • Dealing with on-site problems and issuing instruction to ensure a good work ethic.
  • Ensuring that street cleaning is being done in accordance to the required service standards by conducting regular inspections
  • Advising the participants on safety standards and monitoring compliance to such standards
  • Providing protective equipment to participants, tools and equipment and monitoring the usage thereof.
  • Enforcing discipline and report on non-adherence to service conditions.
  • Compiling reports on participants performance and on-site activities
  • Distributing timesheets and monitor the completing thereof
  • Developing work schedules and monitory adherence thereto by all participants
  • Assisting the Programme Coordinator to ensure oversight by providing monthly performance reports and any other information on onsite activities.
  • Assist with regular assessment of programme’s tools and equipment and other critical resources.
  • Assist in the procurement of programme resources by preparing memos and other relevant documents.
