The 7th Eastern Cape Export Symposium at the East London International Convention Centre in KuGompo City commenced on an excellent tone with a welcome address from Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cllr. Princess Faku.

Her welcome note was followed by a keynote address by Eastern Cape Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane who said the symposium reflects the province’s ambition to strengthen its position as one of South Africa’s leading destinations for trade and investment.

He said the Eastern Cape has established itself as one of South Africa’s leading destinations for trade and investment. This year’s symposium reflects the Eastern Cape’s ambition to build stronger partnerships between government, industry and international markets, and to move from dialogue to delivery on the opportunities before us.

MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism Nonkqubela Pieters will deliver her address , which will be followed by a session focussed on capital Attraction – Energy and Infrastructure as the Edge – Harnessing Foreign Direct Investment and Forming Cross-Border Joint Ventures.
