On the 18th of June 2025, in Ward 24 at Mbekweni Sports Ground. BCMDA was invited by the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Youth Development Unit in the office of the Executive Mayor, hosted a SMME Skills Development Program. The aim of the program it is create awareness on a variety of opportunities for youth in the Business sector. It was also a chance to demonstrate independent professional as means of empowerment and skills development.
There also some well-known SMMEs present in the session. The SMMEs did some presentations and a chance was given for the SMMEs to demonstrate what they offer and a chance for the participants to engage them.
